It's now March 2003 and no I haven't finished it yet, it's been difficult finding the time and the money. However this year I have put some effort in to trying to get some more done. However what these photographs don't show is some of the correction and enhancements that have been done. I had to modify the throttle bell crank because of my CNC engine mounts, the standard one supplied by Jotika didn't fit, so I made a stainless steel bell crank and used the majority of the supplied parts that I bought. |

The first picture shows the forward bulk head, this was originally made of aluminium, but I have replaced it with a carbon fibre, my first attempt of working with carbon fibre. My B H Hanson tuned water cooled pipe has arrived, but I have yet to cut down the swan neck pipe. Picture (a) shows the fixings for the strut and the stainless steel bulk head water nipples that Andy Payne made for me, he also made a few regular stainless steel water nipples, wide bore. |

Please ignore the water pipes, these will definitely be altered and they won't cross over each other. I have replaced the strut with an Octura one which I purchased from Model Marine Supplies, mainly because liked the fin on the bottom to protect the tips of the propeller blade. The remainder of the strut assembly was made by Leigh Hunnable. I also purchased a Teflon lined stuff tube, and incorporating another good idea, I fitted four inches of it into another piece of brass tube, this hopefully will allow me to replace the stuff tube with ease, opposed to breaking the whole thing out of the bottom of the boat, shown in Picture (a) The stainless steel water pickup is attached temporarily with cable ties, I'm still working on the best way to fix it. |
