I've now managed to get on and do a little more work for my Miami.  Shown above is my new Stainless Steel fuel tank something I have always wanted since seeing Kelvin Birds many years ago.  I have calculated the size such that it should hold about a litre of fuel, sufficient for most OMRA races.  I may have to insert a breather valve to release some of the vacuum that is created within the tank, but I haven't needed to baffle due to it's size.

I spent sometime experimenting with various way in which to mount my servo's, however I decided on the above design.  This is made out of softwood and ply, which has subsequently been filled and painted. Yes I can hear you say what a lot of work.  I agree but I'm intending to make multiple tray so that I can have a couple of radio box's which will allow for quick swap out's and so wish to use it as a plug.

After some research I decided to make the mould out of a polyurethane rubber and after a little consultation with this company (http:\\www.tiranti.co.uk) decided on their two part mix DE003, I also purchased some of their silicon release agent which worked really well.  A word of advise weigh out each part into separate containers and then mix together

I will add some pictures of the cast when I have them, however I used some old fibreglass mix which hasn't gone off yet, I'm now three weeks into the cure time and it is just starting to go off.  Once hard I will remove from the mould and re-make using new fibreglass mix.
