This event was supposed to have been held at Danson, but due to circumstances beyond Leigh Hunnable's control the event either was to be cancelled or relocated.  Cygnets MBC stepped in at the last moment and thanks have to be given to the "Scale" side for vacating the water edge early on Sunday.  Considering no publicity was given to this event a large crowed gathered around the Cygnets compound.

The boating was great and for little boats they certainly managed to put on a good show.  The initial heat saw the boats going around a rectangle course and in the second heat a triangle, although initially a few competitions were confused and did the rectangle again.

The standard of driving was generally very good, and there weren't too many instances of the above (picture four).  The Cygnets MBC recovery boat had it's first outing of the year, with it's new outboard motor.

All I can say was that the weather was kind tot he humans but there was enough chop on the water to make it interesting to the boats.  I'm sorry that Danson wasn't on, Bexley council really missed out on a fantastic day, maybe they will get themselves sorted out for next year.
